Our Flagship Product
You’ll be part of the team building the next evolution of our innovative, social-casino gaming platform which enables igaming operators in North America to provide customised and fun social-casino experiences to their players easily and quickly whilst adhering to our “do no harm” ethos. Currently we have over 10,000 monthly active users and see over $32million in game play each month.

The Role
Our BI Data Engineer designs, implements, and maintains systems used to collect and analyse business intelligence data. You will manage and maintain data architectures, build data pipelines and define solutions to facilitate the efficient collection and evaluation of BI data. You'll work closely with all key stakeholders and staff to gain an understanding of BI goals and objectives to ensure the systems and their capabilities support competitive research efforts that achieve those goals.

Day-to-day responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Specify, design, build, and support data warehousing and BI solutions using Databricks
  • Design and maintain data models and pipelines used for reporting and analytics at scale.
  • Work closely with BI analysts, data scientists, and developers to optimise BI tools and ensure the efficiency and accuracy of data collection, storage and processing
  • Test and deploy advanced data analysis tools and techniques
  • Ensure data quality by defining and monitoring data validations for new and existing tools.
  • Help the broader team identify and analyse new features and business opportunities
  • Support upgrades, configuration and troubleshooting for business intelligence tools.
  • Provide updates to customers, business and staff on a timely basis for projects and tasks.
  • Responsible for solution design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Lead ad-hoc business deep dive analysis and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Modify existing reports, extracts, dashboards and processes as necessary.
  • Collect, analyse and share data to help make strategic product decisions.
  • Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline BI operations.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Own the design and development of automated solutions for recurring reporting and in-depth analysis.

Skills, experiences, and attributes that will help in this role are:

  • Bachelor's or Graduate's Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or information systems.
  • Experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture
  • Experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, ETL, BI systems, and programs.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL etc) and programming (Python, R)
  • Experience in data modelling and performance optimisation
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data security and data privacy
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Fluent in statistics, datasets, and scripting.
  • Comfortable making decisions and leading.
  • A problem solver and critical thinker.
  • Familiar with version control and relational databases.

  • Good understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle
  • Strong customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring the Business is always at the forefront of decision making
